Extension privacy
RewardsNotifier is a browser extension operated by Hankified LLC. It is an independent utility and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any credit card issuer or bank. Card names and logos appear for identification only.
What we read on merchant sites
We do not read the contents of forms, payment fields, credit card numbers, passwords, names, emails, or addresses from checkout pages. We do not scrape page text or cart contents. We inspect only the page's URL path (and query/hash strings locally) to decide whether a page looks like checkout, and we inject our own overlay UI into the page.
What we send to our servers
When the extension is linked to your RewardsNotifier account and you visit a checkout-like URL, it may send (1) the merchant hostname (for example https://amazon.com/) and (2) a Bearer token that identifies your account to our recommend API. We use the merchant domain for category matching and rank the cards in your Vault. We do not send payment card numbers from the page. We do not send the full page URL with query strings or fragments.
If we do not recognize a merchant domain, we may record that domain (hostname only) so we can improve catalog coverage. We do not store full browsing history.
What we store on your device
Your account ID, our API base URL, a recommend access token (stored only in local Chrome storage — not synced across devices), and (if you dismiss the overlay) a per-site "don't show again" preference. Linking happens when you sign in on rewardsnotifier.com with the extension installed.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not capture keystrokes.
- We do not monitor your full browsing history as a product feature.
- We do not transmit credit card numbers entered on merchant sites.
- We do not run third-party analytics SDKs inside the extension package.
Website account data
Creating an account, managing your Vault cards, and billing are handled on the RewardsNotifier website (Clerk authentication, Stripe payments, and our database). That processing is covered by our umbrella policies at hankified.com/legal.
